Overview

Enjoy a bottle of red by the fire in winter, or a bbq on the balcony in summer in your own private cabin surrounded by the Yarra River and bushland.  Wake up to kangaroos and cockatoos and curious King Parrots as the busy pace of life dissipates and you settle in to the rhythm of gum trees and wattles swaying in the breeze.

This package includes one (or more) nights accommodation PLUS two seats on our small group Yarra Valley public tour. We’ll pick you up from Fed Square in Melbourne at 11.30am (or meet you at Yering Gorge Cottages) for a day of wine, cheese and chocolate (and more wine!) tastings and return you to your cabin to check in around 6pm. Dinner packs can be arranged or just pick up supplies for dinner on your tour!
Complimentary continental breakfast and a bottle of local wine is included!

(One night stay available for check in Sunday to Thursday only. 2 night minimum for weekends and public holidays).

Itinerary

Yarra Valley group/public tour

We will meet you in the city at 11.30m or at Yering Gorge Cottages to join our small group public tour for a day of sipping and sampling your way around the Yarra Valley.

Your tour includes:
-Wine tastings at Yering Station
-Fresh strawberries at the Strawberry Farm
-Cheese tastings at the local dairy
-Glass of bubbles at Chandon with time to purchase food (and/or more wine)
-Chocolate tastings the Chocolaterie and Ice Creamery

After you've indulged in the region's finest wine and produce we'll take you to your cabin for the evening.

Your private cottage in the woods awaits!
We will arrive at your cabin approx 6pm with plenty of time for you to unwind, start a fire and watch the kangaroos from your private balcony

Wake up early to watch the sun peak above the distant mountains or sleep in and enjoy the oh so comfortable bed. Breakfast supplies are waiting for you in the fridge.

Return transfers to Melbourne

We'll pick you up from your Cottage at 10am to take you back to Melbourne City.

Can you pick us up in the city?
Yes! You can meet us at Federation Square at 11.30am to join the tour or meet us at Yering Gorge Cottages if you are self driving.
What are our dinner options?
You are welcome to bring your own supplies and use the kitchen or BBQ in your cabin. BBQ packs can also be arranged for you to cook (email for pricing).
We can also provide return transfers to a local venue by prior arrangement (+$50 return)

Perfect mini escape

We had an amazing overnight stay at the Yerring Cottages with a fire on a cold night and the free bottle of red wine! The tour was great fun and we were able to purchase supplies to take back to our cabin for dinner. The cabin was spacious and warm and the bed was super comfortable. Such a great value package!

We had made some arrangements for a stay in the Yarra Valley and, because our accommodations--Yering Gorge Cottages--were remote, we needed some detailed transportation arrangements. First we needed. transport from Melbourne Tulamarine Airport to the cottages that included a stop at a grocery along the way for provisions, We also needed a wine, food and nature tour of the Yarra Valley. Finally we needed transport after our stay into Melbourne. We contacted Yarra Valley Touring company and Craig arranged all of this with one go at a very reasonable price. The pickup and transport from MEL was flawless. The Wine Tour was exceptional with a great choice of historical wineries (boutique and luxurious) and actually ended at the best place around to see Kangaroos--Yering Gorge Cottages, our accommodations (and there are HUNDREDS of Kangaroos around). The driver even gave us some tips about hiking around the property and where to find the resident wombat--which we did. Finally, when they picked us up at the cottages and provided door-to-door transport to our next accommodations in Melbourne. Absolutely the best, friendliest, most responsive and most informative tour/transport firm I have ever used. Five stars! 10 out of 10.

My wife and I spent two nights here and it was the highlight of our 2 weeks in Australia along with Craig’s wine tour. Rebecca has great communication from booking to check out. The cabin is very cozy and she has thought of everything. It’s the little details and small touches that put this over the top along with the view. Food and drinks were great!
