The Yarra Valley has an abundance of hidden treasures and this full-day Yarra Valley winery grazing tour from Yarra Valley or Lilydale is a showcase of some our favourites including sparkling wine and oysters or charcuterie at Chandon– who doesn’t love a Champagne Brunch?! This grazing day tour includes a variety of indulgent food and wine tasting experiences throughout the day with more gourmet delights than your grandmother’s pantry!

This exclusive small group public tour with maximum 10 guests includes tastings at four venues plus charcuterie or oysters at Domaine Chandon. Price includes pickup and drop off at your accommodation in the Yarra Valley or Lilydale Railway Station. If you would like to join our Yarra Valley wine tour from Melbourne you can take the local train to Lilydale- it’s easy, ask us how!

Itinerary

Sample a range of cows and goats cheese made on site at this historic dairy situated in the 100 year old milking shed. We would encourage you to purchase a glass of chardonnay with your cheese tastings to enhance the experience! Includes time to purchase a coffee plus we have a cooler bag on board if you want to bring some cheese home with you.

Wine tastings at historic Yering Station, home of Victoria's first vineyard. Sample a wide variety of cool climate classics- everything from bubbles to sweet!

Chandon is the queen of sparkling wine in Australia with some of the best views in the Yarra Valley. Each guest receives a range tasting of three sparkling wines of your choice plus shared charcuterie platters and/or oysters (or other hors d'oeuvres).

Yering Farm wine and cider tastings + platters

Finish the day with wine tastings plus ploughman's platters at Yering Farm wines (is that too much cheese for the day??). Local wine maker Alan Johns and his son Ronan produce small batch wines in their boutique winery with trusty wine dog Roy by their side. Rustic charm with luscious wines and refreshing apple cider to finish the day.

Yes! Many of our guests choose to catch a train from Flinders Street Station to Lilydale Station (approx. 55 minute journey and more comfortable than sitting in peak hour traffic in a bus!). The meeting time at Lilydale Station is approx. 10.30am. If you select Lilydale Station as your pickup address we’ll send you instructions on catching the train and where to meet us- it’s easy!

Outstanding experience

From the moment of our inquiry, to being picked up and dropped off at our accommodation in Healesville our host Craig was fantastic. Locations and tastings were wonderful and Craig’s knowledge and passion for the Yarra Valley was very evident. Price and service was excellent. Highly recommend.

Amazing day out

I booked this tour for my boyfriend’s birthday and we were not disappointed! The views were spectacular, Craig was extremely friendly and knowledgeable and the food and drinks were all excellent. A very memorable day out with above and beyond service. Excellent value for money.

Exceptional Tour

My friend and I had a wonderful day travelling with Craig. All of the wineries we visited were lovely and we were well looked after by the staff. Craig has a wealth of knowledge on all aspects of the Yarra Valley from the history of the area, knowledge of the winemakers to the complexities of the science behind the wines. Very convenient for anyone staying in the region as we were picked up and dropped off from our accomodation. We did various other tours during our stay in the Yarra Valley and if you only have time for one this is the tour I would recommend.

This is THE tour to do of the Yarra Valley

This is THE tour to do of Yarra Valley! Everything is covered: cheese, wine, gin, and the history of the valley. Craig was fantastic, from booking to stumbling home in the evening, he did not miss a beat. I can’t recommend this tour enough, everything was perfect and we all enjoyed it. It’s well run, unbelievably good value, and just a truly fun experience. If I could rate higher I would.

Outstanding Experience

Could not have asked for a better day out. We had a group of 6 and Craig was such amazing tour guide - so knowledgeable, friendly & flexible. We even managed to get an extra stop off for a cheese tasting. The day just ran so smooth and we had such an awesome time. We learned a lot about the region, wine & gin. The wine & food were outstanding at all the places we went.

Brilliant and enjoyable day!

We did this tour a couple of days ago and booked on fairly last minute. We were collected as agreed by Craig who advised us we were the only ones on the tour and had basically a private tour. The tour was brilliant and Craig was a fantastic, knowledgeable guide. We visited some great wineries and purchased a few bottles to take home with us to enjoy. Can’t recommend this tour enough. Thank you Craig!
